**Electricity reaches you through the national grid, which contains electricity generated from a mix of sources, including fossil fuels. But Good Energy match all the electricity our customers’ use over a year with 100% renewable electricity we buy directly from our community of over 3000 renewable generators. View our fuel mix.
We also match 90% of our customers usage with renewable generation on an hourly basis, which helps support a cleaner grid in real time – not just balanced out on paper at year-end like many other suppliers. This is independently verified by Matched, where we ranked 1# on their Clean Power Index. Our greener gas contains a minimum of 10% renewable biogas, with emissions carbon offset by investing in Gold Standard projects.
