The Discount won’t be paid directly to you, instead it’s a one-off discount of £150 on your electricity bill, which we will credit to your account between December to March 2025.
If you have a pre-pay or pay as you go electricity meter, this does not affect your eligibility to the Warm Home Discount. You may be sent a voucher to redeem at any Post Office branch instead – find your nearest branch here. If your voucher isn’t working, get in touch by emailing us at hello@goodenergy.co.uk.
You won’t be able to use your voucher if you have a Smart Pay As You Go meter, but you’ll still be able to get your discount. Get in touch with us and we’ll arrange to apply the discount to your meter.
If you are within Group 1 (Households receiving the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit), your Warm Home Discount will be paid by the energy company who supplied your electricity on the 21 August 2022.
If you’ve applied for the Warm Home Discount using other eligibility criteria, and your electricity supplier changes before you receive your refund, then you will need to reapply with your new supplier. Not all suppliers are part of the Warm Home Discount Scheme – you can check here which suppliers are part of the scheme.
