The challenge: An eco-manufacturer wanting to make its operations greener

Smart energy manufacturer, myenergi, create eco-smart products to help homes make the most of renewable energy. This includes the zappi EV charger, libbi home battery and eddi hot water controller. To maximise their positive impact, the business wanted to use 100% renewable electricity to power their HQ and factory – both self-generated and from the grid.

In 2021, they chose Good Energy Solar to install a 63.7kWp solar array at their headquarters, and used the team again to install a second 259kWp solar array on their factory in 2023. They also switched their energy supply and export to Good Energy to bring their scope 2 carbon emissions to zero.

The Solution: an optimised solar array, covering 23% of the business’ energy requirements

Good Energy Solar designed a bespoke solar solution for myenergi. In the summer months, the two solar arrays provide around 50% of myenergi’s total usage – with a year-round figure of around 23%. This helps them to save an impressive £62,000 in energy costs a year, as well as cutting their carbon emissions by around 110 tonnes a year.
