The two heat pump models currently installed by Good Energy are both manufactured by Midea – a popular brand also installed by Worcester Bosch. Here’s why we recommend Midea products:

Suitable for old and new homes: We’ve installed Midea heat pumps for period and newer homes, keeping them warm and low carbon.

Midea R32 heat pump
- Available from 4kW to 12kW
- Uses R32 refrigerant gas
- Only installed at a low flow temperature, achieving an average efficiency of 360%
- Ideal for homes that want to improve their existing central heating system
- Can be installed in a wider range of locations
- Ultra quiet operation
- Remote monitoring as standard
- Up to 10 year manufacturers warranty if serviced annually
Midea R290 heat pump
- Available from 4kW to 12kW
- Uses R290 refrigerant gas
- Configured at a wider range of flow temperatures, including up to 75-degrees
- Suited to homes that can’t or don’t want to upgrade other central heating elements
- Some limitations on install location
